Paulão Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Valdo Perez made a huge save. William Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Embirizal's goalkeeper Giovanni Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vicente Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game William Meireles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Embirizal's Giovanni Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. William Meireles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovanni Branco having to make a save. A collision led to Dragões Azuis FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Paulinho Duarte hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Proença got free with Valdo Perez in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovanni Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes Embirizal got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Barral. The audience was convinced that Cléber Porto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Branco was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. If Cléber Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Cléber Porto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Giovanni Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Prata was the one to do the kick off. Paulão Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Neiva in the 56th minute of the match. Valdo Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dudu Esteves went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the game, Paulinho Duarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragões Azuis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Embirizal the free kick. The supporters of Embirizal booed when Dragões Azuis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulinho Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, Ramiro Prata made a precise shot to the right of Valdo Perez. Dragões Azuis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Prata in the 77th minute of play forced Dragões Azuis FC's goalkeeper Valdo Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Branco was a little too slow when Cléber Porto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-3. Paulão Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdo Perez having to make a save. After 85 minutes of play, Embirizal's Conrado Neiva made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdo Perez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Téo Nunes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, Embirizal's Paulão Proença nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdo Perez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3.
