Nicolas Loyola came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Tocantinea AD's Hílton de Godoi. But to his dismay, Hílton de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 13th minute of the match Basílio Vaz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Marques skillfully saved the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Evandro Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estrela Azul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tocantinea AD the free kick. Evandro Cunha hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Nicolas Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeca Botelho in the 15th minute of play. When Evandro Cunha was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 17 minutes had been played. After 17 played minutes Estrela Azul FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Cunha. Cauan Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Orlando Marques made a huge save. Cauan Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Botelho in the 25th minute of play forced Estrela Azul FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Evandro Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tocantinea AD's Orlando Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Tocantinea AD from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Estrela Azul FC's Basílio Vaz got a free kick in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Estrela Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pena came free, but Nicolas Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estrela Azul FC's Nicolas Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Oliveira in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cauan Antunes in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Estrela Azul FC's Cauan Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Cauan Antunes sped through Tocantinea AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Orlando Marques. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After 51 played minutes Estrela Azul FC got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Fontes. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Celso Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tocantinea AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Celso Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, Estrela Azul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton de Godoi came free, but Nicolas Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Sá hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Fabrício Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Nicolas Loyola successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Pena during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tocantinea AD getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ronaldo Pena hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Tocantinea AD defense, Cauan Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orlando Marques. The Tocantinea AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Marques should have stopped the shot. If Fabrício Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Ronaldo Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Estrela Azul FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hílton de Godoi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 79th match minute, Estrela Azul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Vaz to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes, Tocantinea AD's Celso Madureira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolas Loyola came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tocantinea AD reached it. Nicolas Loyola made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Zeca Botelho sent off a good shot on target. 83 minutes into the game, Basílio Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estrela Azul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tocantinea AD the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Basílio Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Celso Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Tocantinea AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Madureira couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton de Godoi in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Tocantinea AD's Hílton de Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicolas Loyola. Nicolas Loyola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-2. Estrela Azul FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
