Fabrício Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Luisão Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fabrício Barros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basu EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Dorival Fontes scored to the left of an out of position Fabrício Barros, making the score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Fontes in the 30th minute of play forced Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arlindo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Catarinense in the 31st minute of play. Dorival Fontes struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fabrício Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martelão FC. Dorival Fontes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrício Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Sousa in the 39th minute of play forced Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Ceresso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrício Barros was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Martelão FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
