Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) 4 minutes into the match, Santa City's goalkeeper Bruninho Custódio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tales Catarinense. Santa City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Tales Catarinense scored to the left of an out of position Bruninho Custódio, making the score, 2-0. Panait Balaeț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Capixaba in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Tales Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Biruleibe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Panait Balaeț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Chicão Trevisan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Panait Balaeț was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 47 played minutes Santa City got a freekick which was hit by Hélio de Andrade. After 49 played minutes, Biruleibe FC's Horácio de Sena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruninho Custódio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Biruleibe FC reached it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vágner Ferraz made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Santa City's zone, D.J. Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Custódio came out of the goal and D.J. Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mazinho Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Santa City defense, Tales Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruninho Custódio. The Santa City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruninho Custódio should have stopped the shot. After 67 played minutes Santa City got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Trevisan. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, D.J. Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Biruleibe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but D.J. Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruninho Custódio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tales Catarinense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruninho Custódio having to make a save. Bruninho Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 80th minute, Tobias Julberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Biruleibe FC's Tales Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruninho Custódio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Biruleibe FC's Tobias Julberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Humberto da Mata, made in the 86th minute of the game. When Tales Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Biruleibe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Catarinense couldn't finish the play. Bruninho Custódio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tales Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santa City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Biruleibe FC.
