Dragões Azuis FC's Valdo Perez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Dragões Azuis FC from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vágner Ferraz made a kick off. When William Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Dragões Azuis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Meireles couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Dragões Azuis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Guerra to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Dragões Azuis FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Castro. Jairo das Neves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Valdo Perez. Dragões Azuis FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when William Meireles got free with Bruninho Custódio in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdo Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Cláudio Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 69th minute Antônio Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dragões Azuis FC's zone, Chicão Trevisan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Perez came out of the goal and Chicão Trevisan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bruninho Custódio made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Meireles in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute Antônio Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Custódio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdo Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Lara in the 85th minute of the match. Bruninho Custódio made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Meireles in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléber Porto in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho Custódio saved Santa City from getting behind. Valdo Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Vágner Ferraz put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Valdo Perez. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting.
