Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antônio Carlos de Godoi started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd play minute Antônio Carlos de Godoi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ulisses Porto. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético Piauiense's Genílson Zanette got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Genílson Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Atlético Piauiense's goalkeeper Ulisses Porto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wanderson Vale. In the 14th match minute, Atlético Piauiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. Ulisses Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos de Godoi in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos de Godoi in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulisses Porto saved Atlético Piauiense from getting behind. The supporters of Atlético Piauiense booed when C Sinopense O Retorno FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inácio Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Atlético Piauiense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Wanderson Vale scored to the left of an out of position Ulisses Porto, making the score, 2-0. Wanderson Vale took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulisses Porto. Ulisses Porto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Antônio Carlos de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulisses Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Carlos de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. When Antônio Carlos de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the C Sinopense O Retorno FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Carlos de Godoi couldn't finish the play. Ulisses Porto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmílson de Barros in the 41st minute. Eriberto de Toledo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Atlético Piauiense's Ulisses Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Alves in the 46th minute of play. C Sinopense O Retorno FC's Antônio Carlos de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renatinho de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of C Sinopense O Retorno FC booed when Atlético Piauiense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio Carlos de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Nilmar Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos de Godoi notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Atlético Piauiense's Ulisses Porto. Ulisses Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antônio Carlos de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulisses Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Carlos de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Vale in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulisses Porto saved Atlético Piauiense from getting behind. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Antônio Carlos de Godoi sped through Atlético Piauiense's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ulisses Porto. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulisses Porto was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Antônio Carlos de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute Wanderson Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulisses Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Antônio Carlos de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilmar Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Carlos de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ulisses Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilmar Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Carlos de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Victor Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. C Sinopense O Retorno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulisses Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C Sinopense O Retorno FC fully deserved thier win.
