The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Mandrak came out of the goal and Antônio Carlos de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nilmar Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Carlos de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Moreira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Ricardinho Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Carlos de Godois short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Ricardo Mandrak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gualter Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ricardinho Torres's late challenge caught a C Sinopense O Retorno FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardinho Torres helped the player get up and apologised. Thiago Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Paiva in the 35th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Carlos de Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Mandrak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, C Sinopense O Retorno FC's Gilson Arantes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Mandrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 62 played minutes Macaé Esporte FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Custódio. In the 63rdth minute of the game Antônio Carlos de Godoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macaé Esporte FC's Ricardo Mandrak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Carlos de Godoi in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Victor Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ricardo Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When C Sinopense O Retorno FC's Antônio Carlos de Godoi in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thiago Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Antônio Carlos de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Antônio Carlos de Godoi put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Mandrak. When the referee ended the match the C Sinopense O Retorno FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
