The referee ignored Croqui Futebol Clube's protests and gave Charles Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Akotipa booed when Croqui Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Eduardo Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Croqui Futebol Clube's Kléberson Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Croqui Futebol Clube booed when Akotipa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualter Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Vargas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jarbas Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akotipa's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarbas Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Eduardo Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gualter Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléberson Pombal couldn't finish the play. Croqui Futebol Clube's Charles Goiano got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Charles Goiano off the ground. After 71 played minutes Croqui Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Charles Goiano. Akotipa's Diguinho Matorin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carlos Eduardo Vargas but with some difficulty. Joel Godoi hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson Pombal in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Trevisan saved Akotipa from getting behind. Diamantino Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléberson Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes Croqui Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Mello. In the 92nd minute Jarbas Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Croqui Futebol Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
