To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Dito Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Madeo. Star One Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dito Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute, Macaé Esporte FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diego Erroman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 20th match minute, Star One Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Kruuse to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Mandrak came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Star One Team's Diego Erroman. But to his dismay, Diego Erroman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Diego Erroman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Madeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Macaé Esporte FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Mandrak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Sena. After 41 played minutes Macaé Esporte FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Goiano. Ricardo Mandrak was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Diego Erroman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Erroman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Erroman to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Diego Erroman put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ricardo Mandrak. In the 57th minute Tomás Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
