In the 16th minute, César da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Morro Grande FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Claes Christe hit a great ball. Márcio Alvarenga hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Charles de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristóvão Félix having to make a save. In the 26th match minute, Morro Grande FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Åkerberg to maneuver through the defense. RedDot F.C's Charles de Almeida couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. Cristóvão Leite struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Virgílio Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morro Grande FC. In the 38th minute, César da Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgílio Mandrak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Morro Grande FC booed when RedDot F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Leite made the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored RedDot F.C's protests and gave André Trevisan a yellow card for diving instead. André Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Virgílio Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Leite in the 71st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Elivélton Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elivélton Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
