The audience held their breath when Laerte Ferraz in the 19th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Elder Capixaba's left hand side. Anıl Ege Akşin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Lara's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Chu Chao Xiao charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chu Chao Xiao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zé Pedro Brito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Elder Capixaba when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of FLAMENGO booed when Sampa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Pedro Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder Capixaba having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sampa FC's zone, João Adolfo Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Capixaba came out of the goal and João Adolfo Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Pedro Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sacit Lütufkâr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the game, Laerte Ferraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Elder Capixaba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 67th minute, Zé Pedro Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chu Chao Xiao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Elder Capixaba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anıl Ege Akşin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicente Lara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 77 minute of play. Elder Capixaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Brito's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Elder Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Adolfo Severo in the 84th minute of the match. Elder Capixaba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sampa FC's Ian Siqueira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 97th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anıl Ege Akşin but with some difficulty.
