Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Túlio Rodrigues kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Túlio Rodrigues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dieguinho Fernandes. The goal made the score 1-0. Bernardinho Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo José Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardinho Nóbrega took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo José Fontes. Paulo José Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Palmeiras FC's Paulo José Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Nóbrega in the 25th minute of play. After 27 minutes Palmeiras FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Geovânio Braga who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rodriguinho Zanette got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo José Fontes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulo José Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valério da Silveira in the 28th minute of play. Paulo José Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardinho Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Palmeiras FC's Rafa Queiroz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dieguinho Fernandes. That made the score 2-1 after 32 minutes of play. The supporters of Penúltimo do Ranhing booed when Palmeiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Bernardinho Nóbrega had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo José Fontes. Palmeiras FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardinho Nóbrega was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Queiroz in the 49th minute of play forced Penúltimo do Ranhing's goalkeeper Dieguinho Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardinho Nóbrega to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Adhemar Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Valério da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penúltimo do Ranhing's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério da Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Nóbrega in the 57th minute of play forced Penúltimo do Ranhing's goalkeeper Dieguinho Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sandro Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penúltimo do Ranhing's protests and gave Sandro Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palmeiras FC booed when Penúltimo do Ranhing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardinho Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute Túlio Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieguinho Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penúltimo do Ranhing's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeiras FC the free kick. After 74 played minutes Penúltimo do Ranhing got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Nóbrega. 75 minutes into the match, Penúltimo do Ranhing's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Rodrigues came free, but Dieguinho Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Rodrigues in the 78th minute of play forced Penúltimo do Ranhing's goalkeeper Dieguinho Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Nunes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Erasmo Travassos struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Dieguinho Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras FC. After some careless play in the Penúltimo do Ranhing defense, Adhemar Nóbrega kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dieguinho Fernandes. The Penúltimo do Ranhing fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dieguinho Fernandes should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the game, Palmeiras FC's Túlio Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dieguinho Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2.
