Leonel Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oswaldo Passos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonel Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the match, Donos de rua's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Dias came free, but Tiago Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdo de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. When Leonel Severo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Donos de rua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Severo couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Donos de rua's goalkeeper Tiago Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Túlio Alcântara. When Donos de rua's Leonel Severo in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 25thth minute of the game Leonel Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville's Oswaldo Passos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elivélton Mello made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by João Paulo Koehler. In the 30th minute João Paulo Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Alcântara in the 33rd minute of play forced Donos de rua's goalkeeper Tiago Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Carvalho in the 37th minute of the match. Donos de rua's attentive Bernardinho Carvalho managed to snatch the ball when Elivélton Mello made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the game, Percival Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donos de rua the free kick. Percival Dias hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Joinville's Osvaldinho Dias got a free kick in the 47th minute. After 48 played minutes Donos de rua got a freekick which was hit by Magno Cardoso. After the first half Donos de rua were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Paulo Koehler to make the kick off. Donos de rua's Tiago Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Alcântara in the 60th minute of play. Tiago Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute João Paulo Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Alcântara in the 75th minute of play forced Donos de rua's goalkeeper Tiago Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Gil Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donos de rua's Magno Cardoso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Joinville. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Severo in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswaldo Passos saved Joinville from getting behind. Leonel Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donos de rua played a much better game than Joinville and deserved their victory. The Joinville players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
