Sebastião de Barros helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Geraldo Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. During the 54th minute of the match Walmyr Neto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Walmyr Neto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Walmyr Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Lamina's Kauan Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Urbano in the 57th minute of play. Otávio Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Gilmar Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
