Hyper9 -DMZ-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kauan Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Otávio Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Romeu de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Corrêa in the 27th minute of the match. When Thiago Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Hyper9 -DMZ- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thiago Pinho couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geraldo Corrêa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu de Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the game, André Luiz Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hyper9 -DMZ-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamina the free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geraldo Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. Lamina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrinho Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bruno Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
