Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Yuri Vinhas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zé Augusto Custódio scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jedrzej Domalik, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th match minute, ESTOPIM CAMPINAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Rocha to maneuver through the defense. José Pedro Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Yuri Vinhas made a huge save. Nordestão Futebol Clube's Yuri Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Correia in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agostinho Vianna to strike the kick off in the second half.
