Marcelinho de Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the game, Jano Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jonizo the free kick. Jano Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Berger in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho de Sousa saved Jonizo from getting behind. Virgílio Soeiro scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelinho de Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Berger in the 22nd minute of play forced Jonizo's goalkeeper Marcelinho de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho de Sousa came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gorino's Claudinho Berger. But to his dismay, Claudinho Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinho Berger in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelinho de Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 played minutes Jonizo got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Lopes. After a defensive mix-up in Jonizo's zone, Claudinho Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelinho de Sousa came out of the goal and Claudinho Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the game, Claudinho Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. A very good chance. A collision led to Jonizo getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Váldson de Godoi hit a great ball. Claudinho Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho de Sousa having to interfere. Marcelinho de Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Soeiro's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Marcelinho de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Berger in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

After 54 minutes Jonizo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Donato Passos who took care of the corner kick. Jonizo's Marcelinho de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Berger in the 56th minute of play. Virgílio Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho de Sousa having to interfere. Virgílio Soeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelinho de Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgílio Soeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 63rd minute. If Claudinho Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Berger in the 70th minute of play forced Jonizo's goalkeeper Marcelinho de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Virgílio Soeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelinho de Sousa. Virgílio Soeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 78thth minute of the game Renatinho Lopes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gorino's Bruninho Moura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonizo's Marcelinho de Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Jonizo from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes of play, Jonizo's Charles do Nascimento made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruninho Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Jonizo getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Samuca Saraiva hit a great ball. Claudinho Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gorino played a much better game than Jonizo and deserved their victory. The Jonizo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
