In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Joviania's goalkeeper Gonçalo Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elias Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Valle having to interfere. If Jorge Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When David Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joviania's protests and gave David Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Joviania's David Andrade got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Variani Sport Club's Geovânio Rezende made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonçalo Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeu Netto got free with 吕夕文 in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Seco's late challenge caught a Joviania's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Seco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Joviania booed when Variani Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar Paiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of 吕夕文 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 35 in the game by Baltazar Paiva from a close distance when the talented 吕夕文 managed to make a qualified save. Variani Sport Club's players were relieved. Kauã de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 吕夕文 having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baltazar Paiva in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 吕夕文 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonçalo Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Schmidt in the 40th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baltazar Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 吕夕文 came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Joviania's Romeu Netto. But to his dismay, Romeu Netto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Joviania's Kauã de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Variani Sport Club's 吕夕文 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã de Amaral in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauã de Amaral during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Joviania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Igor Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Variani Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baltazar Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. 吕夕文 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kauã de Amaral hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Joviania fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! Kauã de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 吕夕文 having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Joviania had won after a very even match.
