Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Amauri Lopes took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardinho Quintal during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Empocado got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Quintal. Amauri Lopes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wiliam Castro came out and tried to block the shot, but Amauri Lopes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. SÃO PAULO F.C's Amauri Lopes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, Empocado's Jacinto Fernandez got a free kick in the 18th minute. Nicolas Siqueira struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Albertinho Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empocado. If Nicolas Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, SÃO PAULO F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Siqueira came free, but Albertinho Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Paulo Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Paulo Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, SÃO PAULO F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, SÃO PAULO F.C's Amauri Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wiliam Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albertinho Costa came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Empocado's Pedro Luiz Schmidt. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Wiliam Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Pedro Luiz Schmidt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Empocado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Pedro Luiz Schmidt made the kick off in the second half. Albertinho Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Schmidt in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amauri Lopes in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wiliam Castro saved Empocado from getting behind. In the 62nd match minute, SÃO PAULO F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. SÃO PAULO F.C's Amauri Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amauri Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Wiliam Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Siqueiras short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Albertinho Costa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nicolas Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Albertinho Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Pedro Luiz Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Zé Augusto de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 played minutes SÃO PAULO F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Vergílio. After recieving a nice pass, Empocado's Osvaldo de Azevedo tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SÃO PAULO F.C's zone, Bernardinho Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Costa came out of the goal and Bernardinho Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Empocado players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
