After a rather tough play, O PARANAENSE's Guilherme Bittencourt got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Eugênio Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After some careless play in the O PARANAENSE defense, Doni Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugênio Moreno. The O PARANAENSE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugênio Moreno should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Linhares in the 8th minute of play forced O PARANAENSE's goalkeeper Eugênio Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, O PARANAENSE's Nelson de Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delfim Urbano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Delfim Urbano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Narciso Loureiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 14 minute of play. Edu Pontes took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugênio Moreno. Eugênio Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Eugênio Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Pontes in the 22nd minute of play. When Sílvio Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Lider S FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sílvio Rosado couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Ramiro Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugênio Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Mattos in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Rosado in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugênio Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ramiro Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Lider S FC's Doni Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eugênio Moreno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3.

Delfim Urbano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson de Sousa went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Delfim Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adelino Vasconcelos charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Vasconcelos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adelino Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Eugênio Moreno came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Lider S FC's Doni Linhares. But to his dismay, Doni Linhares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. O PARANAENSE's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Doni Linhares scored to the left of an out of position Eugênio Moreno, making the score, 4-5. If Narciso Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Lider S FC's Sílvio Rosado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugênio Moreno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Doni Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delfim Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson de Sousa in the 90th minute of play. Edu Pontes hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Nelson de Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O PARANAENSE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-5. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
