Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gilberto Ferreira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Umber FC's Gilberto Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moisés Correia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th minute of the match, Valdir Ferraz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafael Meireles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvinho Macedo during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Umber FC booed when Axinim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Moisés Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Gilberto Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Meireles having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Umber FC's goalkeeper Rafael Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvinho Macedo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Ferreira in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Correia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Axinim's zone, Luisinho Galvão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Correia came out of the goal and Luisinho Galvão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Axinim's Valdir Ferraz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Meireles. That made the score 1-1 after 43 minutes of play. Silvinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Meireles having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdir Ferraz to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Umber FC's zone, Silvinho Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Meireles came out of the goal and Silvinho Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Ferraz in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Valdir Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umber FC's Rafael Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Macedo in the 69th minute of play. Valdir Ferraz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Moisés Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Ferreira in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Axinim's Cristian Dionísio got a free kick in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flávio Dante got free with Moisés Correia in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moisés Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fernandinho Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Waldemar Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Umber FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldemar Coutinho couldn't finish the play.
