After a rather tough play, Foz do Iguaçu's Chicão Monteiro got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Foz do Iguaçu's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Melo came free, but Raimundo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Silvinho Pires made a precise shot to the right of Ademir Proença. Futuro Zero F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Foz do Iguaçu's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Sá came free, but Raimundo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Futuro Zero F.C's Ademir Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Futuro Zero F.C from getting a goal against them. Foz do Iguaçu's Chicão Monteiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tiago Gonçalves in the 30 minute of the game. Foz do Iguaçu's Umberto Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Futuro Zero F.C's zone, Fábio Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademir Proença came out of the goal and Fábio Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Futuro Zero F.C's Jeremias Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvinho Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Futuro Zero F.C's goalkeeper Ademir Proença, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raimundo Xavier made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Ronaldinho Sá sent off a good shot on target. After 53 minutes, Tales Tróia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foz do Iguaçu and the Futuro Zero F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Tales Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Silvinho Pires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ademir Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 67th minute, Silvinho Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilson Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Proença having to interfere.
