Raimundo Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Raimundo Xavier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campo Mourão Futebol Club. 18 minutes into the game, Campo Mourão Futebol Club's Armando Toscano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Xavier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Justo Bemabe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Saldanha having to interfere. When Umberto Santos came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Foz do Iguaçu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Santos couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Campo Mourão Futebol Club booed when Foz do Iguaçu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Sydney Amaral notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Foz do Iguaçu's Raimundo Xavier. Raimundo Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Toscano was the one to do the kick off. Sydney Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Bemabe in the 58th minute of play. Carlos das Neves made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Foz do Iguaçu's Chicão Monteiro. Clemente Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvinho Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Clemente Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Miguel Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campo Mourão Futebol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fábio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Armando Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Foz do Iguaçu's Raimundo Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carlos das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Foz do Iguaçu's Silvinho Pires quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Miguel Alvarenga, made in the 92nd minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Umberto Santos notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Campo Mourão Futebol Club's Clemente Saldanha. Clemente Saldanha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
