Albertinho Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albertinho Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Futuro Zero F.C booed when Campo Mourão Futebol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Futuro Zero F.C's Ronaldinho Sá couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Campo Mourão Futebol Club. Campo Mourão Futebol Club's Sydney Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geraldo Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Clemente Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Sá in the 12th minute of play. Ademir Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Bemabe, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Justo Bemabe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ademir Proença. Justo Bemabe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ademir Proença was a little too slow when Armando Toscano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Armando Toscano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ademir Proença came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Toscano slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. Albertinho Pombal got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 38 played minutes Campo Mourão Futebol Club got a freekick which was hit by Albertinho Pombal. A hard shot 41 in the game by Armando Toscano from a close distance when the talented Ademir Proença managed to make a qualified save. Futuro Zero F.C's players were relieved. Armando Toscano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Ademir Proença when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ademir Proença made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Moreno in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Armando Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campo Mourão Futebol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademir Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldinho Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armando Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute, Jeremias Melo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Clemente Saldanha. The goal made the score 3-1. After 56 minutes of play, Campo Mourão Futebol Club's Armando Toscano made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ademir Proença was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 59 minutes, Teodoro de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futuro Zero F.C and the Campo Mourão Futebol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Campo Mourão Futebol Club booed when Futuro Zero F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeu Luz hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes Futuro Zero F.C got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Vinhas. Armando Toscano scored 6-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ademir Proença, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ademir Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Justo Bemabe went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-1 was the resulting score. Ademir Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Bemabe in the 76th minute of the match. Justo Bemabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Proença having to interfere. Miguel Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademir Proença having to make a save. Ademir Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Toscano in the 83rd minute of play. Campo Mourão Futebol Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
