Manguaba's Claudinei Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Marquez in the 4th minute of play. Claudinei Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Ribeiro in the 8th minute of play. Edson Vinhas hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. With 24 minutes on the clock, Natã Arósio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Marecas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Manguaba:s goal. The goalkeeper, Danilo Carvalho, was totally fooled by Manguaba's Murillo Domingues, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cacá Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Danilo Carvalho made a huge save. With a little luck, Marecas's Danilo Carvalho got control of the ball when Sandrinho Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Sandrinho Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Danilo Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dino Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas Marquez hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Marecas's Danilo Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Marecas from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ademir Barreto to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Marecas's goalkeeper Danilo Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 52nd match minute, Marecas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. After 54 minutes, Edson Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manguaba and the Marecas players grew even worse after the yellow card. 59 minutes into the match, Manguaba's goalkeeper Claudinei Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademir Barreto. Manguaba's Claudinei Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Manguaba from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Marecas's Valdemar da Costa got a free kick in the 66th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademir Barreto got free with Claudinei Abraão in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Silvinho Ribeiro notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Manguaba's Claudinei Abraão. Claudinei Abraão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudinei Abraão made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Silvinho Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Ademir Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Manguaba's Claudinei Abraão got control of the ball when Ademir Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute, Ademir Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinei Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
