Amauri Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Stathis Lolos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the game, Gustavo Capixaba threw the ball into play from the sideline. AtLéTiCo GaLvAn's Eliseu Carvalho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noel Mendonça to make the kick off. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vasco Mineiro FC fully deserved thier win.
