The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Breno Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Tomás Capixaba notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Paulo Afonso's Breno Castro. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomás Capixaba made a kick off. Tomás Capixaba did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Breno Castro 52 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Paulo Afonso's Romeu Ortiz got a free kick in the 55th minute. Breno Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. During the 61st minute of the match Eliseu Hermes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eliseu Hermes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 60 minutes into the game, one of Paulo Afonso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Breno Castro, was totally fooled by Mirari AD's Hamílton Munhoz, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 73 played minutes Mirari AD got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Urbano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Capixaba in the 75th minute of play forced Paulo Afonso's goalkeeper Breno Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Nuno Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Paulo Afonso getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lenílson Simão hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mirari AD's Tomás Capixaba got a free kick in the 90th minute. The Paulo Afonso fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mirari AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
