David Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Machado's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Cícero Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. David Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Machado made a kick off. In the 51st play minute Tião Paes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Ribeiro. 0-2. Tião Paes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's David Ribeiro got control of the ball when Tião Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg David Ribeiro managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Tião Paes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Machado in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Ribeiro saved E.C 2 Janeiro RS from getting behind. After 80 played minutes E.C 2 Janeiro RS got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Neto. Christian Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. David Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cícero Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cícero Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ribeiro having to interfere. João Pedro do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. David Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, E.C 2 Janeiro RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. Lauro Neto's late challenge caught a Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lauro Neto helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to E.C 2 Janeiro RS getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Lauro Neto hit a great ball. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by E.C 2 Janeiro RS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giovani Massa was slow to take the kick. During this time Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cachoeiro - FSCMZ's Giovani Massa to fire away a dangerous shot which David Ribeiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The E.C 2 Janeiro RS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cachoeiro - FSCMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
