Giovanni Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 13 minutes into the game, Jägermeister FC's Rubens Borges nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovanni Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 20th minute Luizão França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jägermeister FC's Rubens Borges got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Languiru SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Caetano Penha hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Borges in the 27th minute of play forced Languiru SC's goalkeeper Giovanni Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Vides in the 30th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Nelson Vides made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Languiru SC's Giovanni Monteiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelson Vides to make the kick off. Giovanni Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Nelson Vides sped through Languiru SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giovanni Monteiro. Giovanni Monteiro was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Nelson Vides capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nelson Vides really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. In the 71st match minute, Languiru SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd match minute, Jägermeister FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Vides in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Monteiro saved Languiru SC from getting behind. Rubens Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Vides in the 78th minute of play forced Languiru SC's goalkeeper Giovanni Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Fernando França kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giovanni Monteiro. That made the score 0-10 in the 80 minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Languiru SC's Douglas Vasconcelos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Douglas Vasconcelos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Languiru SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Douglas Vasconcelos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 92 minutes into the game, one of Languiru SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Jägermeister FC. Rubens Borges stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Giovanni Monteiro. 0-12. In the 97th match minute, Languiru SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Samuel Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovanni Monteiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. Jägermeister FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
