When Renatinho Secco fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gilbert AD's protests and gave Renatinho Secco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Gilbert AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Secco to maneuver through the defense. José Carlos Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Mazza having to make a save. With a little luck, Gilbert AD's Jorge Mazza got control of the ball when Jailson Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sem Juizo's José Carlos Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim Paulista to make the kick off. During the 56th minute of the match Renatinho Secco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Renatinho Secco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 57th minute, Renatinho Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 minutes, Kauã Linares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sem Juizo and the Gilbert AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kauã Linares kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simão Ribeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Gilbert AD booed when Sem Juizo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jailson Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jorge Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gilbert AD's goalkeeper Jorge Mazza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
