The supporters of Coapoa booed when Esporte Clube Italva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Esporte Clube Italva getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Cipriano Cordeiro hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Acácio Motta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hílton do Valle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hílton do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hílton Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Acácio Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Acácio Falcão during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Narciso Pereira placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Cipriano Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Gonçalves having to interfere. When Hílton Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Esporte Clube Italva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hílton Travassos couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Coapoa's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton Travassos came free, but Amílton Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cipriano Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Motta in the 47th minute of play forced Esporte Clube Italva's goalkeeper Hílton do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 49th minute of the match Coapoa got a corner. Esporte Clube Italva's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adalberto Neto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Coapoa's Adalberto Neto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hílton do Valle in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

In the 53rd minute, Edgar Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Leopoldo de Alcântara in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Coapoa's Enéas Paraibano. Acácio Motta hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton Travassos got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Acácio Motta notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton do Valle. Hílton do Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Acácio Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manoel Bueno hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The supporters of Esporte Clube Italva booed when Coapoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Esporte Clube Italva's Narciso Pereira got a free kick in the 80th minute. Coapoa's attentive Enéas Paraibano managed to snatch the ball when Leopoldo de Alcântara made a throw-in in the 84th minute of the game. The supporters of Esporte Clube Italva booed when Coapoa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th match minute, Esporte Clube Italva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Alves to maneuver through the defense. Kléber Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton do Valle having to interfere. Coapoa's Adalberto Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Coapoa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
