When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Rodrigo Gaúcho took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Enrique Martins to make any attempt to save it. Haroldo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodriguinho Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Borala FC's Enrique Martins got control of the ball when Valdemar Nunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo Gaúcho scored 2-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrique Martins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haroldo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vito Ortiz in the 17th minute of play. Rodrigo Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Enrique Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SpVgg Albrecht. Haroldo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Luz came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Borala FC's Alexandre Cardozo. But to his dismay, Alexandre Cardozo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Zé Augusto Donato hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdemar Nunes made a kick off. The supporters of SpVgg Albrecht booed when Borala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Cardozo in the 57th minute. When Carlo Di Placido fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SpVgg Albrecht's protests and gave Carlo Di Placido a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Borala FC booed when SpVgg Albrecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlo Di Placido didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Vianna struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Haroldo Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borala FC. Zé Augusto Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Borala FC's Vito Ortiz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Vito Ortiz took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haroldo Luz. Haroldo Luz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borala FC! Enrique Martins had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Valdemar Nunes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Valdemar Nunes took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Martins. Enrique Martins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-5. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Haroldo Luz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Haroldo Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Ortiz in the 100th minute of the match. SpVgg Albrecht's defense didn't have a chance, in the 101st minute, when Vito Ortiz scored to the left of an out of position Haroldo Luz, making the score, 4-6. Borala FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
