In the 14th match minute, Itapiranga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferson Tróia to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Afonsinho Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapiranga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Murupu EC the free kick. Afonsinho Simões hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Paulo José Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Mineiro. Itapiranga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo José Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 23rdth minute of the game Romário Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapiranga FC's Otávio Mineiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Lopes got free with David de Alcântara in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo José Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Otávio Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Doni de Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murupu EC's protests and gave Doni de Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Murupu EC's Doni de Azevedo got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Maurinho Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romário Rezende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Romário Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murupu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otávio Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Itapiranga FC's Roger Valadares got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Luciano Monteiro took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otávio Mineiro. Otávio Mineiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Luciano Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Murupu EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederico Lopes's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After 92 minutes, Jefferson Tróia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itapiranga FC and the Murupu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jefferson Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Luciano Monteiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Otávio Mineiro. That made the score 0-5 in the 94 minute of play.
