Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Basílio Pimenta got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Roger Valadares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dito Lopes. Santelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Valadares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Itapiranga FC booed when Santelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Ortiz in the 13th minute of play forced Itapiranga FC's goalkeeper Otávio Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Itapiranga FC's Frederico Lopes got a free kick in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Basílio Pimenta notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Santelo's Dito Lopes. Dito Lopes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frederico Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dito Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dito Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Pimenta in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Augusto Secco got free with Otávio Mineiro in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Frederico Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Itapiranga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Lopes couldn't finish the play. When Marquinhos Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santelo's protests and gave Marquinhos Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. Dito Lopes came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Itapiranga FC's Frederico Lopes. But to his dismay, Frederico Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Zé Augusto Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santelo's Dito Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Pimenta in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santelo's Luizão Terra got a free kick in the 41st minute. Dito Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Augusto Secco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Itapiranga FC's Otávio Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Ortiz in the 52nd minute of play. Zé Augusto Secco struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Otávio Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santelo. A collision led to Itapiranga FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Frederico Lopes hit a great ball. If Zé Augusto Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the game, Basílio Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itapiranga FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santelo the free kick. Basílio Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Zé Augusto Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Itapiranga FC's Otávio Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Secco in the 74th minute of play. Davi Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Zé Augusto Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Itapiranga FC's Frederico Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 played minutes Santelo got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Toscano. Otávio Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davi Ortiz's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Itapiranga FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Santelo side.
