Virtus Futebol Clube:s Xie Ting Sheng showed great skill when he stopped Célio Faria:s penalty. 43 minutes into the game, Rodrigue Tron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Virtus Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapiranga FC the free kick. After 43 played minutes Virtus Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigue Tron. In the 44th minute, Frederico Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xie Ting Sheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederico Lopes in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ponciano Pontarelli made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Fernando Dionísio's late challenge caught a Virtus Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Virtus Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
