With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Almir Neves got free with Anísio Linares in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Lemon Haze FC's Sydney de Carvalho in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FERRÃO's goalie prevented a goal. After 22 minutes, Vivaldo Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemon Haze FC and the FERRÃO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lemon Haze FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vivaldo Cabral hit a great ball. Fabiano de Souza's late challenge caught a Lemon Haze FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lemon Haze FC booed when FERRÃO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Lemon Haze FC's goalkeeper Anísio Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Almir Neves. FERRÃO's Bernardo Ramalho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anísio Linares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fiori Matos in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Lemon Haze FC's Anísio Linares got control of the ball when Almir Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Fabiano de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match Valdir da Rocha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Ramalho skillfully saved the ball. When Germano Corrêa fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FERRÃO's protests and gave Germano Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. Valdir da Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Bernardo Ramalho made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FERRÃO's zone, Vivaldo Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Ramalho came out of the goal and Vivaldo Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Reginaldo Soares came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Lemon Haze FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Soares couldn't finish the play. Anísio Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Rossi in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Cavalcante in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anísio Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir Neves in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Valdir da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Murilo Cavalcante's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Ramalho was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Murilo Cavalcante in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bernardo Ramalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Robinho Cerezo's late challenge caught a FERRÃO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Ramalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anderson Lopes in the 96th minute. Despite being the better team, FERRÃO failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
