Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sydney de Carvalho started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Zé Carlos Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantao's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Carlos Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lemon Haze FC's Sydney de Carvalho in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cantao's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Cantao's Douglas Goiano got a free kick in the 15th minute. Sydney de Carvalhos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Luisão Botelho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 24th minute, Anderson Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st minute Iuri Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alessandro Simões came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Lemon Haze FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Simões couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the game, Dé Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cantao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lemon Haze FC the free kick. A collision led to Cantao getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dé Castro hit a great ball. Cantao's Luisão Botelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Cantao from getting a goal against them. In the 37th match minute, Lemon Haze FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Simões to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Iuri Gerber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anísio Linares was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Anísio Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Castro in the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iuri Gerber to make the kick off. Valdir da Rocha hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Anísio Linares came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Cantao's Iuri Gerber. But to his dismay, Iuri Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Iuri Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Linares having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Leão got free with Anísio Linares in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos Vidal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Anísio Linares made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Lemon Haze FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Castro came free, but Anísio Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sydney de Carvalho in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Botelho saved Cantao from getting behind. In the 71st minute, Sydney de Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lemon Haze FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Anísio Linares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Zé Carlos Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Lemon Haze FC's goalkeeper Anísio Linares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé Castro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Maciel in the 87th minute of play forced Cantao's goalkeeper Luisão Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robinho Cerezo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luisão Botelho. Cantao's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zé Carlos Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cantao's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
