Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jailson Couto started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Gerson Xavier could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Rubens Cruz however easily saved by the left post. Rubens Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rony Pinho went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 18 played minutes Itaberaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Custódio. 19 minutes into the match, Piem's Sydney Neto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jailson Couto struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gilmar Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaberaba FC. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itaberaba FC's goalkeeper Rubens Cruz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Piem got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Dracena. When Edvaldo Borges fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piem's protests and gave Edvaldo Borges a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Itaberaba FC! Sydney Neto walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rony Pinho made the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gerson Xavier sped through Itaberaba FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rubens Cruz. Fabiano Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jailson Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilmar Camargo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. After 66 played minutes Piem got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Dracena. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Jailson Couto took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Gilmar Camargo to make any attempt to save it. In the 76th minute of the match, Jailson Couto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilmar Camargo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rubens Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Jailson Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Camargo having to interfere. Fabiano Vinhas had several of the Piem's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Gilmar Camargo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Dinei Dracena hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rony Pinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubens Cruz having to make a save. The Piem supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itaberaba FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Itaberaba FC.
