Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) A collision led to Mythos Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Guga Lago hit a great ball. Didi Baiano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Tomé Arantes 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of SANTOS F.C booed when Mythos Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Didi Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SANTOS F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didi Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Tomé Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Juan Leme came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the SANTOS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Leme couldn't finish the play. Frank Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mythos Futebol Clube's Leonardo Gaspar in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SANTOS F.C's goalie prevented a goal. If Didi Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Paraíba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Didi Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SANTOS F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leonardo Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Edgard Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Robinho de Amorim. After recieving a nice pass, Mythos Futebol Clube's Delfim Sena tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Didi Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Arantes having to interfere. Tomé Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Leme in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mythos Futebol Clube's zone, Alexsandro Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Arantes came out of the goal and Alexsandro Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edgard Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Baiano in the 84th minute of play. Didi Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Arantes having to interfere. SANTOS F.C's Juan Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute of the match Bernardo Simão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomé Arantes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mythos Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SANTOS F.C.
