After a defensive mix-up in Destroyer's zone, Manuel Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomás da Costa came out of the goal and Manuel Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Luís de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Vaz in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomás da Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Manuel Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MOCAMBINHENSE SA's Antônio Carlos Pinho got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Pereira in the 84th minute of play forced Destroyer's goalkeeper Thomás da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Manuel Vaz put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Thomás da Costa. MOCAMBINHENSE SA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
