Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sarandy FC's Paulo Renato Rosado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Red BuL Sao Carlos's Laércio Tepedino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelsinho Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Sarandy FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tomé Sá hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, one of Sarandy FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Red BuL Sao Carlos a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernandinho Fernandez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sarandy FC's Nelsinho Esteves. 0-1. Nelsinho Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Nelsinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulinho Cunha in the 16th minute of play. Nelsinho Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Tepedino in the 17th minute of play. Tomás Eger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexsandro Guedes charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexsandro Guedes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sarandy FC booed when Red BuL Sao Carlos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Paulo Renato Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiburcio Gizon hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Red BuL Sao Carlos's Ernesto Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé Sá in the 28th minute of play. Paulo Renato Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Cerezo having to interfere. Nelsinho Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Sarandy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Red BuL Sao Carlos were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulinho Cunha was the one to do the kick off. Nelsinho Esteves made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Paulinho Cunha sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Nelsinho Esteves managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Red BuL Sao Carlos's Paulinho Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th minute, Red BuL Sao Carlos's Laércio Tepedino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 61 minutes into the match Paulinho Cunha climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Nelsinho Esteves. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laércio Tepedino during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Laércio Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Tomé Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Sá in the 75th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauã Sá during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Red BuL Sao Carlos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Sá to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 80 minutes, Paulo Renato Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarandy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Renato Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nelsinho Esteves was a little too slow when Laércio Tepedino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-5. The supporters of Red BuL Sao Carlos booed when Sarandy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Paulinho Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match, Paulinho Cunha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nelsinho Esteves was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 94th minute, Sarandy FC's Vítor Koehler seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vítor Koehler the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sarandy FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vítor Koehler had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 94th minute, one of Sarandy FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sarandy FC. Chants of Red BuL Sao Carlos echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sarandy FC had held the ball for most of the match.
