Albert Omescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Sarmento in the 7th minute of play. Silas Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Omescu having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Edson Trancoso took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vladimir Tavares to make any attempt to save it. 20 minutes into the match, Dinamo Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Sena came free, but Albert Omescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edson Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Koehler's late challenge caught a Dinamo Brasil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Koehler helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Guaratiba FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Abelardo Koehler hit a great ball. Vladimir Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albert Omescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silas Sena went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vladimir Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Trancoso's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Albert Omescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Dinamo Brasil's Gilmar Mattos was substituted for Edson Trancoso. Dinamo Brasil's Cássio Barral was substituted for Dagoberto Pena. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cássio Barral scored 2-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir Tavares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silas Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, Dinamo Brasil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Barral to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Sena in the 89th minute of play forced Dinamo Brasil's goalkeeper Albert Omescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Reynaldo Guerra could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Albert Omescu however easily saved by the left post. In the 96th minute, Conrado Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
