After 4 played minutes Choyolovers got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Arce. 6 minutes into the game, Dudu Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NAVAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Choyolovers the free kick. Dudu Teixeira hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Tiaguinho Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Júlio Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. NAVAS's Fausto de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Paulo Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Dudu Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Natanael Toscano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Camargo was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Júlio Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Choyolovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natanael Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, NAVAS's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Massa came free, but Júlio Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júlio Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Massa in the 22nd minute of play. Tiaguinho Massa scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Camargo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 26 played minutes NAVAS got a freekick which was hit by Obar Xavier. In the 29th minute, Maurinho Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio Camargo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Júlio Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Massa in the 32nd minute of play. Choyolovers's Pedro Paulo Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Paulinho McLaren struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Humberto Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NAVAS. The supporters of NAVAS booed when Choyolovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Garcia charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evandro Garcia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Natanael Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Natanael Toscano to strike the kick off in the second half. Danilo Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Camargo having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, NAVAS's goalkeeper Júlio Camargo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natanael Toscano. Choyolovers's Natanael Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute of the match Choyolovers got a corner. NAVAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natanael Toscano ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 71st minute, Paulinho McLaren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NAVAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 78th minute, Maurinho Vasconcelos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulinho McLaren in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Guimarães saved Choyolovers from getting behind. After some careless play in the Choyolovers defense, Paulinho McLaren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Guimarães. The Choyolovers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Guimarães should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Júlio Camargo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obar Xavier in the 96th minute of play forced Choyolovers's goalkeeper Humberto Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
