Hortêncio da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Guga Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Toledo in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Guga Lira made a huge save. 27 minutes into the game, Giovanni Félix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacuarana the free kick. Giovanni Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessandro Perez in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Sanches saved Corinthians FC from getting behind. After having played for 30 minutes, Marcos Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcos Toledo in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guga Lira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Marcos Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Jacuarana's goal looked a bit too open when Hortêncio da Cunha came free, but Guga Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Alessandro Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacuarana and the Corinthians FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Jacuarana got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Perez. Nico Brodel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Guga Lira made a huge save. In the 40thth minute of the game Marcos Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacuarana's Guga Lira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacinto Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Pontes in the 43rd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Marcos Toledo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of Jacuarana:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jacuarana. Guga Lira had in the 53rdth minute some difficulties stopping William Mineiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Guga Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Toledo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After some careless play in the Corinthians FC defense, Alberto Pontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Sanches. The Corinthians FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Sanches should have stopped the shot. In the 69th minute, Marcos Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Toledo in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Lira saved Jacuarana from getting behind. Jacinto Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82ndth minute of the game Marcos Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacuarana's Guga Lira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benedito Mello hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If William Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessandro Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Corinthians FC's Jacinto Sanches got control of the ball when Alberto Pontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
