After 10 played minutes Pekudei got a freekick which was hit by Adilson Rosado. 13 minutes into the game, Pekudei's Alfredão Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vinícius Capixaba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to Soberano FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dedé Sá hit a great ball. Vinícius Capixaba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredão Ferraz went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Pekudei's Humberto de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredão Ferraz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Vinícius Capixaba 38 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Soberano FC's zone, Alfredão Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Capixaba came out of the goal and Alfredão Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldinho Magalhães to make the kick off. Tao Qi Song showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Soberano FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dedé Sá in the 54th minute. Soberano FC's Vinícius Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Chano in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Soberano FC's zone, Alfredão Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Capixaba came out of the goal and Alfredão Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Chano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Capixaba having to interfere. Vinícius Capixaba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredão Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Ronaldinho Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pekudei's Alfredão Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Pekudei getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Humberto de Sena hit a great ball. When Tales Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Pekudei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Almeida couldn't finish the play. A hard, long distance shot from Tales Almeida flew over the goal. Vinícius Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Soberano FC booed when Pekudei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pekudei's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
