Wanderson Terra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fabiano Furlan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Clóvis Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enéas Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Furlan having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Gil Azevedo put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Fabiano Furlan. A hard shot by Narciso Passos from long distance, 44 minutes into the match, got Luiz Fabiano Furlan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Azevedo in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fabiano Furlan saved Pureza FC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Paiva was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Laerte Ceresso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Laerte Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Brasília FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laerte Ceresso couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Pureza FC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Negri. After 63 played minutes Pureza FC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Negri. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Azevedo in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fabiano Furlan saved Pureza FC from getting behind. Luiz Fabiano Furlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Erivaldo Andrade hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Sérgio Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Brasília FC fans jumped to their feet. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Enéas Almeida sped through Pureza FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano Furlan.
