Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gustavo do Valle started the match with the kick off. Cícero Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo do Valle in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Munhoz. Marcelo Gröhe came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo's Breno Miranda. But to his dismay, Breno Miranda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Eliézer Félix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Gröhe. Pitico Caiu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliézer Félix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 18th minute Eliézer Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gröhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Gröhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Miranda in the 19th minute of play. If Vitinho Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Munhoz in the 24th minute of play forced Pitico Caiu FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Gröhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Cícero Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo do Valle in the 27th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliézer Félix to make the kick off. The supporters of Pitico Caiu FC booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Félix in the 66th minute of play forced Pitico Caiu FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Gustavo do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pitico Caiu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Camargo having to interfere. Marcelo Gröhe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Munhoz went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Pitico Caiu FC's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Xavier in the 83rd minute of play. When the match was over Flamengo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pitico Caiu FC throughout the match.
