The Rodeiro fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Rodeiro's Bala Halls looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by João Francisco Koehler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bala Halls fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Urbano having to interfere. Pedrinho Peres hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bala Halls was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, João Francisco Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st match minute, ITUMBIARA E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Peres to maneuver through the defense. Bala Halls received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Nildo Urbano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Carlinhos Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rodeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ITUMBIARA E.C. the free kick.
