Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The Dormideira SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Eger should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Abismo SC's goalkeeper Belmiro Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Fonseca. In the 13thth minute of the game Jorge Nóbrega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dormideira SC's Carlos Alberto Eger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute, Toninho Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes Abismo SC got a freekick which was hit by Elano de Moraes. Romeu de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belmiro Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Abismo SC's Romeu de Queiroz made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Alberto Eger was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Romeu de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abismo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeu de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alberto Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Abismo SC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Nóbrega made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dormideira SC's zone, Romeu de Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Eger came out of the goal and Romeu de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abismo SC's Romeu de Queiroz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dormideira SC's zone, Elano de Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Eger came out of the goal and Elano de Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Carlos Alberto Eger managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Abismo SC's Romeu de Queiroz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Abismo SC's Belmiro Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Pinho in the 79th minute of play. Carlos Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Peres having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Abismo SC's Jorge Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Alberto Eger. That made the score 0-5 after 86 minutes of play. If Romeu de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Dormideira SC's zone, Jorge Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Eger came out of the goal and Jorge Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belmiro Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Dormideira SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Abismo SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
