In the 6th match minute, Dormideira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Queirós to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute of the match, Durvalino de Lima got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Alberto Eger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dormideira SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Durvalino de Lima scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Alberto Eger, making the score, 1-0. Dormideira SC:s Carlos Alberto Eger showed great skill when he stopped Dráuzio Cordeiro:s penalty. Thanks to some nice moves Durvalino de Lima could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Carlos Alberto Eger however easily saved by the left post. In the 18th minute Diguinho Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Flavinho Varela fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dormideira SC's protests and gave Flavinho Varela a yellow card for diving instead. Flavinho Varela hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Gugu Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Eger having to interfere. Carlos Alberto Eger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Fernandez in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Nóbrega in the 25th minute of play forced Meninos do Morro F.C's goalkeeper Adriano da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Flavinho Varela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dormideira SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Dormideira SC's Carlos Alberto Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Dormideira SC from getting a goal against them. Flavinho Varela got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dormideira SC's Carlos Alberto Eger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Dormideira SC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Dormideira SC defense, Durvalino de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Eger. The Dormideira SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Eger should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Dormideira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Souto came free, but Carlos Alberto Eger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Durvalino de Lima recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Alberto Eger. Durvalino de Lima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Durvalino de Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Dormideira SC's zone, Durvalino de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Eger came out of the goal and Durvalino de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute Gugu Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Fernandez in the 74th minute of play. Dormideira SC's Carlos Alberto Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Fernandez in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Durvalino de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Alberto Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Souto in the 90th minute of play forced Dormideira SC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Eger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrézinho Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Dieguinho Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meninos do Morro F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Paulista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Meninos do Morro F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
